Thank you for looking at my item.Abstract Astra Flash Sound to Light or DMX Control in Good Working OrderClassic Abstract Astra Flash. The fixture is in working order though the bodywork does shows signs of use. This is a very early Abstract fixture and although it does work with DMX it was designed for use with the Masterstroke Controller also made by Abstract. Jack sockets were used for DMX input & output but this should be no problem if a cable was made up and a universal controller used. The fixture is configured for sound to light use currently, the setting beings adjusted via the 6 way dip switch to the rear. The user manual is still available for this model along with all Abstract products, thats the great thing about Abstract being UK based, you can get anything you need to keep kit going for years. Just to mention also that the lamp fitted is supposed to be a 250W Halogen stick lamp but I hadn’t got one to hand so I fitted a 120W version. The output would be much better with the higher wattage lamp, the heat is no problem either as there is no tiny plastic cooling fan fitted but a proper ally 240V mains fan that will run forever. It is a bit of a shame about the bodywork being a bit untidy but if your a bit OCD like me it is not a problem to strip these fixtures down and blast and re powder coat the metal to made a nice lighting affect again. We recently did this to several older fixtures changing the colour as well to match the customers requirement the finished job looked stunning.
