The model AT814a is a wide-ranging moving coil dynamic microphone with a cardioid or unidirectional pickup pattern. It was designed for use by professional recording and broadcasting studios, and for serious amateur recording, high quality sound reinforcement and other demanding voice and music sound pickup situations. It is particularly suited to applications demanding utmost dependability with uniform high quality.The microphone comes in a smart black case, complete with a 16.5 foot (5.03m) 2-conductor, shielded, vinyl-jacketed, broadcast-type cable with XLRF connector at the microphone end and a 1/4inch phone plug at output end (see photo). Also a tapered clamp (see photo) in order to attach it to standard 5/8inch -27 threaded stands.
