Event Power Isolated Test Box & Adapters.
This box is for testing RCDs in event power distribution units without tripping upstream RCDs.
The unit has a mains inlet. Inside there are two toroidal transformers connected back to back to give isolated mains. There is a fuse and a switch on top. The switch connects Neutral to Earth at the output sockets (N-E connection is required to test RCD’s).
The unit has a 16A outlet, a 63A single-phase outlet and a 63A three-phase (5-wire) outlet. All three phases are live on the three-phase outlet.
A selection of adapter cables are included as follows:
63A plug to 32A socket three-phase
63A plug to 16A socket single-phase
16A plug to 32A socket single-phase
32A plug to 16A socket single-phase
16A plug to 13A socket
These cables allow most types of distribution unit to be powered up and connected to an RCD tester (not supplied).
The unit can also be used to safely power-up distribution units for servicing and repairs.
