Kam KXR600 Power Amplifier
Powerful Amp in Good Condition! This is my KAM KXR600 power amplifier. This was my main amp for DJing until recently when I changed my setup. It’s been a brilliant amp that I’ve owned from new and it has done me a great service! It has never missed a beat and has provided booming power to a pair of matching speakers. I have taken this amp to its limits, but never over – I don’t want a blown amp in the middle of a gig! This amp can handle small to medium venues (100-150 capacity) but alas I need more and have traded up. That means this beauty is up for grabs!
The amp is 600W peak, 300W RMS @ 4 Ohms per channel or 200W RMS @ 8 Ohms per channel. Don’t be fooled by cheaper amps which claim to have more power – this thing actually delivers what it says. With the speakers I had this amp pumped out plenty of bass with a nice balance of mid and treble – great for a disco. It also did a fair job of producing vocals but I won’t pretend that that is what it was designed for so if you’ll be on the mic all night this might not be the amp for you.It comes with a quality power cable. Inputs are XLR or 1/4 jack and outputs are SpeakON or binding posts. It can be ‘bridged’ but I never tried as it’s not recommended except for very top-end amps. It is 19″ rack mountable and takes up 2U. Here are the published specs:- Minimum impedance: 4 Ohms

I’ve owned it from new and have used it for several years, with an average of probably 6 gigs a year. I do push it hard but never beyond its limits and bring the levels back down as soon as it gets close (limiter LEDs on the front). It has never failed me and sounds as good as the day I bought it.It has been in a solid metal flight case since I got it (available on a separate auction) and therefore has no damage whatsoever. I can’t even see any scratches on it. Apart from picking up a bit of dust from storage between gigs this amp is in great condition and should continue to perform for a good while to come.
