For the longest time, Serato DJ mixers were off the scale price wise for the average turntablist. Then new kid on the block Mixars came along and surprised the world by being a brand new business, but having the door to Serato’s world held open. The first result is the Mixars Duo 2 channel scratch mixer.

In a nutshell, this is a fully featured 2 channel scratch mixer, designed for use with Serato DJ. Ket features include sample and loop pads, Serato DJ controls right on the mixer, mini Innofader crossfader with full curve and reverse controls on all faders, USB hub, and fully MIDI maple controls. Think of it as the Traktor Kontrol Z2 for Serato DJ.
This unit is essentially new. I unboxed it for Instagram, and had a play for maybe 20 minutes, but it went back into the box straight after. It comes with power (plus EU adaptor) and USB cables, as well as the Serato DJ Mixars specific pink control vinyl.
This mixer was a gift from Mixars, but I’m waiting until the next version with their new Galileo fader arrives before doing a full review.
So if you’re after a Serato DJ specific scratch mixer that doesn’t cost over 1K, this is for you. At launch, it retailed for 869, and has recently been dropped to 699. But you can have this unit for the hand snapping off price of 549.
