The Numark TT-1 Pro; a very high quality DJ turntable, which I think is a good rival to the Technics 1210. But the Numarks have the added bonus of being able to play vinyl in reverse, which is actually what made me get them ahead of Technics. The deck is very heavy and has a solid well constructed feel to it. It is a joy to use, is very stable, and the platter has plenty of torque.
The cartridge/stylus has been upgraded to a decent quality Ortofon OM DJ S – far better than the factory original. The sound quality is excellent.
The deck has not been gigged and only ever used at home. It does have some cosmetic wear, but nothing too major. Mainly just marks, scruffs and scratches to the lid (quite unavoidable on that type of material). Please see photos.
The lid and hinges are included. There are also two slip marts. I preferred the yellow Synergy mats for mixing purposes, but liked the look of the Numark mats and have them on when the deck is not in use. The double as a good dust cover!
The start/stop and RPM buttons are not ultra sensitive. You have to give them quite a hard press. This has always been the case since new, and might well be the case with all TT-1s. I actually prefer it that way so that you don’t go pressing something accidentally! Don’t get me wrong, they work fine. They just need a hard press. The fact that it is exactly the same for both decks I own would point to the fact that they were likely made that way?
Please note that the LED at the back to show you when you are in reverse platter mode is not working. The forward mode LED still works fine, as do all the others.
