The Pioneer DDJ-SR 2-channel DJ controller has been ergonomically designed for native compatibility with Serato DJ software. Following in the footsteps of the larger DDJ-SX, the DDJ-SR control surface includes two large aluminium jog wheels, integrated performance pads, and a new PAD PLUS feature that adds four additional audio effects to the performance pads. This is all encased within a solid steel chassis that can stand up to the most demanding of club environments.By recreating the Serato DJ software layout across the DDJ-SR’s control surface, Pioneer have made it very easy to use to enable highly intuitive performances. Each jog wheel features conductive technology with provides lightning response times with little latency for reliable control. Access buttons sit around each jog wheel within touching distance. The unit can be used with four decks by initiating the “deck select” buttons located on each side of the controller. As well as this, the DDJ-SR includes a “Cross Fader Reverse” switch to enable the left and right decks to be controlled from opposite sides and the additional Slip Mode function – which allows real-time baby scratching and jogging to be thrown in whilst the song stays in time and playing in the background – giving even more control options for those who want to practise scratching techniques.Beneath each jog wheel are 8 velocity sensitive rubber pads with control buttons for Hot Cues, Roll, Slicer and Sampler effects. With the PAD PLUS function, various controls and effects can be combined and looped in time with the beat.
