These units utilises carefully designed circuits – transposed to circuit boards and then populated by me in the UK.
No surface mount technology in sight!
You are bidding to buy a new replacement internal Linear Power Supply for the Soundcraft E, ES & EPM (5 way Harwin Interconnect) and EFX & MPM (6 way Harwin Interconnect) range of Mixers / Mixing Desks.
Retrieve the old interconnect cable with Harwin Sockets both ends as this will be needed for the New PSU. The Cable is not supplied in the kit.
The Replacement PSU produces nice clean, noiseless sets of DC power to the Mixer Circuit Board – certainly far more reliably than the old switch mode model.
+15VDC, -15VDC, +8VDC and +48VDC outputs.
The original internal PSU is a switch mode type – it has a nasty habit of blowing up and burning the circuit board tracks thus becoming un-repairable.
These Linear Power Supplies are Guaranteed for 12 months (normal usage).
No Soldering required.
You will however, need to drill a hole in the base of the mixer (while you have everything out) to mount the Toroidal fixing screw kit.
All other holes and fixings are as per the old PSU unit.

A modified KIT version is also available for the Soundcraft MPM12 and MPM20 Mixing Desks (6 Pin Harwin Connector).
You will need a Soldering Iron to install the IEC Socket and Fuse Holder within this MPM Kit.

This replacement Power Supply Solution will work with the Soundcraft Spirit M8, M12 (not the 10 Pin Harwin Version!) etc. series Mixing Desks – but does not have the additional DIGITAL I/O which the original unit supplies on the PSU Board via the RCA Phono connector and switch assembly. If you do not need the DIGITAL I/O facility, then the MPM kit can be ordered and used.

“Hi wanted to say I really appreciated you making these power supplies.I also appreciate how you state everything not hiding anything,I was told many years ago by the Australian distributor that they were no longer supplying parts for this series mixer as was discontinued, the previous designs seemed better and had external power supply.In some little confrontation when it became evident that there was a manufacturing design fault which they admitted to, but essentially nothing was going to be done other than offering parts at cost which was more than your unit from memory anyway.At that point in time I purchased several of the power supplies about 8 years ago that has kept us going up to about a month back. In total we have three of the mixers but have burned through around 7 psus in that time.As the mixers run 24 hours a day when in use, the psus do like to fail for the heatsink, surge, etc. I notice the replacement soundcraft psu had a better heatsink so is less prone to fail but they still do.The ES series mixer is the only mixer available suitable for radio less than $1500USD with more than 6 stereo inputs that I/ could ever find. Every mixer under $1000 has maximum 4 stereo, apart from one 8 channel broadcast mixer which I could find, which is not enough channels for us.At some point we need to go to an broadcast mixer but this has kept us going to date.On our mixer I had to move the ground to the right as there wasnt the length of ground lead to leave to where the factory ground mount is.I also had to drill out the hole in the ground larger so that it would fit the factory ground bolt.The only other point I would make is I was unable to put both washers on and just used one washer and 1 spring washer, for the teroidal fixing kit, I am sure I could have but after about ten minutes and multiple attempts I gave up.I am a novice at understanding ohms, so I only know continuity. but understanding what is considered high or low on the 20k setting was a bit of a question. It is good that you show the ohm meter, and what settings were showing on it, however mine was reading differently on the tests, so for me was a question.” – Mike

It only bloomin’ works! This old mixer has been sitting in my garage for probably a year, and at work in a pile of broken things for at least another year prior to that. I couldn’t bring myself to skip it, and I’m so glad I didn’t. I use a little Mackie DFX-6 for my band, which only has 4 XLR inputs, so we can only ever put vocals through the PA. So this’ll be a revelation!
Thanks so much for your excellent product, fast delivery and clear instructions. After a year disassembled, I only had 2 screws left over, which I think is pretty good going!

A. Hello John – Yes it will work with the E12 and 20 models too – It has a 1.2amp capability on each of its rails – even the 20 Mic input models only use around 600ma when loaded. I’ve installed these units in EPM12’s & MPM20’s and run them for over 48 hours – they run really cool. As well as the built in heat sink – the chassis itself acts as another heat sink once the 2 self tappers have been screwed into the fins of the heat sink. The Linear PSU is also DC noise free compared to the switch mode unit originally installed.Sehr schneller Versand. Alles Top.
