A Serato software license is built into this device. All you do is download Serato from Novation and install. Usb plug in, and bam, away you go. To auto analyse your mp3 collection, you turn this device off, Open serato, parse your entire collection.. once it is done, you turn on the Twitch, and away you go. You automagically, have pitch, length, bp, category, data attached to every song in your library.
This digital mixer works really well. It has bpm detection and saved track makers per track. I think a lot of people don’t realise how good this is, as they want a more ‘traditional DJ mixer.’ Well, this can be played like an instrument, so you can really be creative with your mixing. The effect chains you can make are top notch, as Novation is a synth maker. They know what they are doing in terms of instrumentation.
