I have for sale a rare pair of Tannoy professional compact T40 subwoofer system. They have one fitted with the original Tannoy 3803 15″ high efficiency drive unit made by RCF and the other is a nearly new RCF L15P540, the same drive but with RCF markings on it.The cabinets are 100 litre bandpass ported design and are designed to need no equalisation or correction, made of multi-ply hardwood designed to withstand the power that these speakers produce.They had integral carrying handles at the sides and a 35mm top hat for mounting of midrange/top speakers such as the superb T12 or i12, eliminating the need for tripod stands. They have 2 Speakon sockets in/out for easy wiring of additional speakers.These speakers are fully refurbished, new paint in original colour, screw, fixings and solid rubber feet for optimum performance.These speakers produce awesome bass for the compact cabinet size and can be enhanced by placing close to a wall, enhancing the forward radiation of bass. I really cannot sing the praises for these speakers too much, anybody who hasn’t heard them should, and anybody who has will appreciate the sound.
