A custom pair of 1210’s. If you’re reading this you probably know all you need to know about this classic piece of technology.
These have been fully restored and customised. To a level that is very rare and I haven’t ever seen another set customised the same as these. (I have a third one too but probably going to keep that one for show)First of all they have been professionally painted in 2 pack black car paint and professionally logo’d in 2 pack white.The strobe tower, Pop up cue light tower and tone arm pivot have been painted at the same time as the deck plate.All the technics print has been done to factory standards, they are NOT Stickers, NOT transfers. They are custom printed on to the deck plate after they were painted.The platters have been re machined and painted with custom paint to a better than new standard and are flawless.
Full LED conversion has been done, pitch, 33 button, 45 button, pitch strobe and the pop up light. So that won’t fail the way the original technics bulb always does.The audio cables have been uprated to Van Damme pro audio cables and have Neutrik 24k Gold plated ends.
Calibration has been done to the original specifications. Strobes shows perfect zero and plus 6% as shown in the videos and the brake stops the deck within 1/8th of a turn. Spindles have been cleaned and oiled using Technics recommended weight oil.I’ve been repairing and restoring professional grade audio equipment for over 20 years, used Technics decks professionally for the same.
As I’m sure you can appreciate taking pictures of decks with a finish like this is no easy task, so I’m happy to take more pictures or videos in different light levels if anyone would like me to.
