I’m selling these for my son. He says:-
2 x Tapco Thump TH15-A (in need of repair). Low frequency 290W – High frequency 90W.
These speakers served me fantastically well when I was at college and university in 2007 2012 but both have been out of use pretty much since then and both are in need of repair. Bought as B-stock in 2007, they were brilliant for Djing in small /medium gatherings and make great monitors too. The bass is especially resounding and powerful,hence why Tapco called them Tapco Thumps. Im putting them on Ebay in the hope that someone may find them valuable despite being in need of repair, maybe for the parts or with a plan to bring them back to life.
They were well used between the 2007-2011, which you can see on both cases. Speaker 1 has residual tape marks around the case, as shown on the picture.
Speaker 1 (first three photos) stopped working in a surprising way. I brought it out to use as a monitor for my sisters wedding in 2013. I wasnt playing it very loud but it checked out – I couldnt work out why. These speakers can turn themselves off temporarily if they over-heat but this wasnt the case because I couldnt get it to work later on in the evening and it wasnt working very hard when it checked out. I suspect it may be a fairly simple fix for someone who knows what theyre doing. Moving the case around, there is a sound of something moving inside, although this was evident before it stopped working, so Im not sure what it is.
Speaker 2 (last three photos) took a tumble in 2011 (both speakers stack on top of each other and the top one fell off), and stopped working after this. My friend unscrewed the back panel and unfortunately someone then pulled the panel off (pictures included). So again,Im not sure exactly why the speaker doesnt work, but perhaps the solution to fixing it is fairly simple,. The case is intact and as far as Im aware all of the pieces of the panel are there, but have a look at the pictures to check for yourself, because I cannot guarantee this.
