2 x Technics SL-1210 MK2 Turntable’s(Fully stripped / rebuilt & serviced)
A perfectly working pair of 1210 MK2’s which have undergone a thorough refurb and have been professionally HydroDipped.
Both decks have been completely stripped to their shells, cleaned thoroughly, rebuilt and calibrated. The chassis have been professionally hydrodipped and the work has been carried out to a very high quality standard. The finish is very tough and durable.
The design is absolutely stunning and the photo’s really don’t do these justice. You really have to see these to appreciate how good they look!
Both decks have brand new Mk3 pitch faders. These are without the annoying centre dip and have been calibrated so that all reference points at 0%, +6%, +3% & -3% are correct. They also have new felt gaskets beneath the pitch trim to prevent dust from getting into the sliders.
New target light bulbs, green pitch trims to match the design and tonearm rests installed on both decks. The trims are not the best quality though and they don’t sit perfectly flat within the cutout on the chassis. Purely a cosmetic issue.
Also included is a brand new set of high quality slipmats which glow green in the dark.
All functions work 100% as they should. The height adjustments have been cleaned and greased up, the spindles have been oiled (with the correct Technics oil) and the anti-skates are fully functional.
The tonearms perform as new with no play in the bearings and respond as they should to the anti-skate dials.
All lights work and all buttons are perfectly responsive.
There are absolutely no issues with audio. The phono cables are original and in good condition.
The ground cables are perfect and still have the spades attached to the end. One of these is brand new.
Cosmetically they are in near perfect condition. There is 1 very small chip to the chassis on one of the decks, and one of the tonearms has a slight bit of corrosion on the top as well as a few faint scratches on the arm itself. These imperfections can be seen in the last few photos.
The platters have been cleaned and mechanically polished to a shine. The dots look amazing under the strobes and target lights.
The pink Ortofon Concorde Scratch cartridges are included, however they are missing the arms, so I have modelled some new ones using a known DJ hack, cable ties!
Although in full working order, the stylus’s are non original and could also benefit from being replaced, one of them has a bent cantilever.
This is a one off chance to own a pair of some of the most stunning looking Tech’s out there. It’s safe to say you’ll never come across another pair looking quite like these!
No dust covers or original boxes included I’m afraid.
