This is a control button intended to remote control DMX operated smoke or other effects machines.
It is powered off any USB type source and outputs dmx channel 1 at 100% when the button is pushed, and at 0% when it is released.
Connection to dmx is by standard 5 pin XLR.
Connection to power is USB type B (500mm long cable supplied)
There is a power indicator on the side next to the USB connector that shows when the unit is connected to power, and there is an indicator next to the dmx outlet that lights up when the button is pressed.
The button itself is illuminated at a low level, which gets brighter when pressed.
If you do not want the button illuminated during use, disconnect the power then holding down the button reconnect the power. The button will flash slowly. When the button flashes rapidly, release it and it will stay non-illuminated until the power is disconnected and reconnected again.
The unit is pre-configured as above (channel 1 to 100% when pressed), it is not possible for the user to change this. If you need a different channel configuration please contact me and I can program accordingly.
