The Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S-49 is a MIDI keyboard controller crammed with advanced technological features. The super sleek and feature-rich controller displays a top of the range Fatar keybed and Smart Play attributes to allow for creative production.
The Kontrol S-49 maps the whole keyboard to musical scales and plays chords with single keys. Using the advanced arpeggiator, melodies can be created at the touch of a button. The expertly designed touch strips allow sounds to be bent, warped and automated effortlessly.
The original Light Guide displays (in full colour) zones, key switches and more. It also provides performance feedback such as chords, scales, and arpeggios. Key parameters are automatically mapped for each Komplete instrument to the touch-sensitive controller dials using the Native Map technology. Using the intelligent tag-based browsing system, sounds can be searched, browsed and loaded with ease all from a single plug-in.
The Komplete Kontrol S-49 MIDI keyboard has been designed to be one of the most powerful resources for production and has been constructed for use with Komplete 10 and Komplete 10 Ultimate. The keyboard can also be used with Komplete 9 and Komplete 9 Ultimate. The S-49 can be used straight from the box and comes with ten, professional, high-quality, Komplete Instruments and effects in the form of Komplete Select.
INTRODUCING NATIVE KONTROL STANDARD – (NKS)Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) is an extensive plug-in that Native Instruments have developed which is used to open up the Komplete Kontrol system. NKS allows compatibility not only with NI software plug-ins but also with third party VSTs opening up a whole new creative journey for the end user. In addition, the instrument limitations are mapped from the moment you connect to your computer, enabling you to plug and play directly from the box. The Smart Play features, Light Guide and the full creative possibility can all be accessed directly from NKS instruments.
Producing NKS has now made it possible to combine the S-Series keyboards with third-party plug-ins thus creating opportunities that have not been possible before.
Within the Native Browser the NKS instruments display next to the Komplete instruments so you do not need to look elsewhere. The instruments from third-parties are tagged by the manufacturers themselves so that they can ensure that they are both useful and current.
Third-party plug-in manufactures are now able to use Native Map which means that they are able to design mappings to suit the instrument exclusively. As a result when NKS is loaded the instruments are automatically mapped to the eight control knobs.
The Light Guide, industry leading tool, can now also be used by third-party instruments to display keyboard splits, key switches and sample mappings.
Each NKS plug-in has been set up to allow the use of Smart Play features within the Komplete Kontrol software including Chord sets, touch strips, arpeggiator and the scale mapping.
