OVERVIEW:Classic and rare Vestax PMC-Pro MK3 DX Professional DJ/Scratch Mixer in Exceptional condition with original PSU and a Brand New Full Set of ‘Soft-Touch’ (Rubber/Silicon/Plastic) High Visibility UI Knobs (Farnell UK) which look and feel gorgeous. This was necessary due to a fault with the material used to make the original knob covering which degrades over time, as such this unit has custom styling and feel; thus unique! Further, this unit also has the original Vestax ultra-fine rubber fader grommets fitted which reduce the already ultra fine fader cut (e.g. when the unit is set to cut as opposed to crossfade etc) to an even finer cut for scratch DJ’s that cut like a ninja! Naturally, these grommets are simple to remove if you don’t want them! These rare upgrades are also really practical too as they create a cushion to protect the crossfader unit when cutting fast (e.g. and equally they’re also really beneficial for techniques like crabbing or transforming as they add a degree of bounce)!
The unit has been fully tested (e.g. every feature, knob, setting etc) and functions exactly as expected. Further this unit is in exceptional condition for its age, and has literally seen only *very light* usage since new (e.g. it has spent most of its life in storage in lab/studio conditions). The only sign of wear that I can establish is a slight fading of the crossfader markings on the right hand side only (see photos) and a couple tiny spec like details on the upper fascia that hardly even show up on the photos they’re so tiny!
ATTENTION: As the UI Knobs have been replaced and differ slightly from the Vestax original manufacturing specifications (e.g. the inner splines that hug the pots are orientated slightly differently, when the PAN FADER KNOBS click into position at the CENTRE DETENT they are slightly off centre to the left by a millimetre or so (see photos); but naturally this is somewhat insignificant as they lock to the centre detent through feel so its kind of irrelevant but if you suffer from anal retentiveness OR have OCD this might be an issue for you; more important is that they feel gorgeous and are brand new and give the unit a unique styling, look and feel of its own!
As such, on a final note, this unit has been loved and cherished, purchased new, preserved with care and treated with respect (which you can immediately tell when you pick it up and examine it etc). It’s also a precious slice of history as sadly the almighty highly respected ‘Vestax Corporation of Japan’ is alas no more; making this unit rare, unique and in exceptional condition for its age!
