You are bidding on an Audio Ltd RMS 2000 analogue (not digital) UHF Radio Microphone Kit, Channel 69! Audio Ltd is a specialist and highly prestigious brand, MADE in ENGLAND! When new, this set cost nearly 2,000.00 GBP!

This kit is in excellent condition and perfect working order, consisting of: MX2000U Battery Operated Receiver, TX2000U Body Pack Transmitter, three Antennae (aerials), three Lemo connectors to fit (used – de-soldered and reusable), protective ABS case and User Manual. The transmitter and receiver operate on one 9v PP3 battery each (not included). The battery covers and ribbons are (unusually) intact, as are the DIP switch transparent covers – see photographs.

Audio Ltd radio microphones always were considered among the best broadcast production systems available – and are still being made – although not this model. They sound about as close to a hard-wired (cabled) microphone as one is likely to get.

This radio microphone operates on Channel 69 UHF Frequencies, switchable between 854.9 and 855.9 MHz. It was designed for licensed frequency broadcast (television and film) production use, and is of extremely high quality. However since the reallocation of the radio frequency spectrum in 2012, UHF band 69 has been withdrawn for radio mic use in the UK.

If used in the ‘wilds’ away from built-up areas the system will technically work fine, if used in built-up areas there may be radio frequency (RF) interference from the current traffic on Channel 69.

Please Note: Channel 69 is restricted and no longer authorised for radio mic use in the UK! I understand this restriction also applies to mainland Europe. There are territories (countries) where Channel 69 is still legitimately usable, but I do not know which they are. This situation is exactly the same for all makes of radio Mic, so check the frequencies carefully. There are similar radio mics being offered for auction without this essential information, so buyer beware!

Regrettably, it is not possible to retune this radio mic – so it is what it is! If you have read thus far, you will be familiar with both Audio Ltd radio mics and the current frequency allocation situation. If not, please do not buy without further understanding or message me privately.

Whether you have a use for it is for you to understand and decide. It may be that you already have one which is defective or want another one for use in legitimate frequency-approved territories.

If this is for you – you will not find a better example!

I am prepared to ship a successful purchase to mainland Europe (EU), carriage P.O.A., please message me before purchase.
