Once upon a time there was a young man who dreamed of being a popstar. He wore the clothes, learnt the songs, played the instruments, even bought an awesome Carlsbro PA. It consisted of two quality speakers, long speaker cables, a mixing desk, several stereo and mike inputs, two speaker stands, and a quality microphone, all of which packed down neatly into a carry-able single package.
He was all set for fame. Nothing could hold him back.
Expect one thing. The young man had absolutely no talent. None.
Despite everything he had seen on the X-Factor, apparently talent IS still required to be successful. And so he finally gave up on his dream. The clothes went to the charity shop, and the instruments went to people who could actually play them. Nicely.
But what of the awesome PA system, I hear you ask?
Too good to give away, the young man lovingly wrapped the beautiful PA system it in a blanket and stored it carefully in the loft. But every time he looked at it, there were pangs of what could have been. At least, what ‘might’ have been, had he had any musical aptitude whatsoever.
And so he decided with a heavy heart to finally part with his beloved PA system. Not even a split infinitive in the previous sentence could prevent the tear slowly forming in the corner of his eye. And so it came to pass that he dusted down the system, tested it out and it worked perfectly. Apart from the gaffer tape he noticed he had put on the legs of one of the speaker stands which would probably need replacing by anyone lucky enough to own this system in the future.
But don’t despair – the story had a happy ending. He sold the PA system to a wise, good-looking and incredibly talented musician on Ebay, who had read the terms and conditions carefully and therefore realised that for an extra tenner the now not-quite-so-young man would deliver in the Brighton area, but not post the system, despite it coming complete with a high-quality microphone ideal for singing with.
And what’s more – the story is true! The young man – well that was me. And the musician – you, know I have a sneaky suspicion that that is going to be you! Congratulations. Check our feedback and bid with 100% confidence.
