The CS:3 scratch Mixer
The CS:3 is a professional six input DJ scratch mixer.
Four of the inputs are routed to two main input channels.
These four inputs consist of 2 RIAA phono, and 2 line.
Each of the two input channels offer extensive control over the mix by way of input select (transform), input gain, 3 band Eq (with rotary CUT), and Stereo balance control
for each input channel.
The sixth and seventh inputs are dedicated microphone inputs, one main mic input and one sub-mic input.
The main mic input offers a three band Eq, adjustable input gain
and stereo pan control..
The crossfader operates between the two input channels controlling the signal to the output of the mixer.
This means you can crossfade between channels 1 (on the left) and 2 (on the right).
Another Citronic development, the Cue Pan, is also fitted which allows you to preview a variable mix of any input channel (cue) with the current mixer output.
To aid the DJ the CS:3 is fitted with the Beatmix Cue facility. This is a useful variation from the Split Cue method which feeds the output channel to either the left or right channel through the headphones.
When the Beatmix switch is depressed a mono mix on the Ch1 output will be present on the L/H channel of the headphones and VU display, Whilst the mono o/p of Ch2 will be on the R/H channel of the headphones.
This offers the DJ an incredibly effective tool to accurately Beat Match.
The CS:3 utilizes industrial grade Long Life professional DJ faders for the greatest possible durability and smoothest sliding action.
The CS:3 has been specifically designed so that there is more than sufficient space around the faders and crossfader, giving the DJ the freedom to operate the faders to
their full potential.
There is an output level control which affects the level of the master outputs.
There are 2 master outputs one balanced and one unbalanced. The balanced output is set at +6dB (1.55V) and the unbalanced output is set at 0dB (775mV).
There is also a Booth output set at 0dB and a recording output set at 400mV.
All these comprehensive features are provided in a self contained unit complete with dedicated PSU adapter.
