Allows two (or more if cascaded) DMX controllers to work together. For instance, you could have a DMX controller at the entrance of a house and another controller at the exit.
The router works by monitoring a control channel (set by the DIP switch). It then reads the two DMX inputs and when a change is detected it routs the DMX from that input to the DMX OUT.
The router works best with programmable DMX controllers such as those from Chromateq, Nicolaudie, Sunlite etc, although it will work with most unprogrammable ones too.
This is a very popular item when used in conjunction with the Sunlite Sushi low cost DMX controller (see our other items) and arduino type installations.
The router also allows standalone DMX controllers to be used alongside the basic DMX offered by home automation systems such as Crestron, RAKO, Mode etc. This can save lots of time and money in programming costs.
