With PAM series, ECLER has introduced a new concept into professional audio: The Switching Power Mosfet. This S.P.M. Technology has been developed and patented by ECLER, Laboratorio deElectro-Acstica, S.A. Until today these components were only used in industrial switch applications and now, their introduction into audio has brought a firm and spectacular improvement in relation to the conventional systems.
The outstanding advantages of Switching Power Mosfet can be summed up as follows:
a) Much lower internal resistance than the bipolar transistors and in very well controlled powerful bass.The conventional audio mosfets present an internal resistance 4 to 7 times higher than the resistance provided by switching mosfets.
b) The great speed of these devices in regards, to the high frequencies, a transparency until now only achieved with amplifiers containing vacuum-tubes, at the same time as a reduced TIM(Transient Inter modulation Distortion).In this SIXTY E series of SPM amplifiers, the essential has been maintained, obtaining as a result, an industrial line of acceptable price and demonstrated efficiency.
