Pair of Genius Mizar 2 MSD250 intelligent scanners
These are quite rare scanners, but due to their Italian-designed optics, have been extremely robust over the years.
They have been in storage for the last 5 years, after mainly being purchased to support a now-defunct Pink Floyd tribute show.
This auction is for the pair illustrated, and come complete with a flight case that fits both together. You can see from the pictures that Genius changed the cosmetic appearance of this model during its lifetime, this auction is for one of each. They are both functionally identical.
Specs are:
250W MSD discharge lamps (included)
6 DMX channels, base addressed using DIP switches.
1 – Gobo Rotation, ACW to CW
2 – Colour (White, Yellow, Green, Red, Blue, Magenta, Orange, Cyan, Gold, Lilac plus a rainbow setting)
3 – Gobo (Open, Arrows*, Stars, Windmill*, Circles & Squares, Whirlpool*, Cone, Spiral*)
4 – Lamp (Dimming from o to 100%, Adjustable strobe speed using mechanical shutter)
5 – Pan (approx 180 degree of pan)
6 – Tilt (approx 150 degree of tilt)
The Gobos marked with * will rotate in accordance with channel 1. The other gobos are fixed.
They both also include a microphone to allow them to be put into sound-light mode. This mode, as well as pan/tilt invert is also selectable using DIP switches.
Includes full flightcase to fit the pair, both scanners with MSD250 bulbs fitted.
Dimensions of the case are 57cm wide x 34cm deep x 80cm tall including the castors.
