For sale a pair of six output DMX dimmers, ideal for a theatre, TV studio, school, college, church etc. These are top level professional units that have just been tested and also PAT tested for electrical safety.
The two units are linkable together to give 12 independent dimmable outputs on 16A connectors for high power tungsten lighting, such as theatre follow spots, etc. By linking the two dimmer packs with the included cables to the zip 12 DMX control panel it’s possible to to program the dimmer outputs to be controlled from any of the 12 sliders. It also includes a master fade out slider and chase options.
DMX is compatible with many different makes of lighting, so other lights, such as LED or tubed DMX controllable lighting can also be daisy chained off of the control panel.
This kit of parts includes the two dimmer packs, a Zip 12 control panel, two interconnecting compatible DMX cables. Power supply for the Zip 12 included. Also included is one six way power multicore and the two break out ends to match, so getting power to lights for six of them is very easy.
One of the dimmer packs has a 32A power connector on the input, the other has bare ends, but I can fit another 32A connector to this one if required. Input voltage is 240V ac. Max output load 10A per channel. Each channel is protected by a 10A breaker.
The units would be rack mountable with mounting ears, but they aren’t included. Audibly very quite running and in the time I’ve used them in two TV studios there’s never been any sign of RF pickup on sensitive audio equipment such as microphones.
All the equipment is in very good condition having been in permanent installations, i.e. not on the road. The postage price reflects that it would have to be sent in several packages and the cable is quite heavy. Collection is recommended if possible.
