As you can see from the photo the holder was broken off unfortunately, was done by someone who tried to lift the cartridge with the turntable clip still attached.
You can buy the spare part online for less than 10 and this will be fully functional.
I am selling all my spare cartridges and stylus.
The stylus is working fine and will be fine for plenty of hours of use. I would always recommend starting with a new one.
