Welcome to my auction for a pair of MAC 2000 Profile IIs with Flightcase!
These are exceptionally bright (1,200w discharge lamp) flexible professional moving lights, suitable for even the largest of venues.
Both units are in fair working condition, cosmetically they are fine with minor dings and signs of age as you would expect. All the optics are clean, and the important bits – pan/tilt, focus, iris, zoom, gobo wheels, CMY flags, colour wheel and prism all work flawlessly and precisely. I have noticed an occasional minor issue like a failed lamp strike or sticking CTO filter, etc – all of which were cured by good old “turn off and on again” then they worked just fine, but it suggests that they could do with a decent clean and service.
The gobo selection is varied and includes both coloured glass and steel patterns. There are even 3 further gobos on the colour wheel! They really are the “Rolls Royce” of moving lights.
The flight case holds both units in hanging format, with ample space for the power cables and hook clamps (supplied). Both lamps have been fitted with a 13a plug, but I will include a 16a Ceeform plug as well if you wish to change it.
Though sold for 15k+ when new, they are now discontinued by Martin (https://www.martin.com/en/products/mac-2000-profile-ii) but spares are still readily available.
Obviously the combined weight of 2 of these units at 45kg each, and the solid touring-class flight case (which rolls very smoothly) is significant. You will therefore need a van with a tail lift or ramp in order to collect these from our Greater London/Brentford location.
