I bought this controller brand new last year in April from Recordcase for 1400. I already had CDJs but only two so when I wanted to mix four decks I would use this, but often would use my friends CDJs and mine instead. I honestly think it has had only between 20 and 30 hours of use overall.
The controller is in immaculate condition and has always been protected with a decksaver, cleaned regularly and well looked after and only ever kept in my studio. There are no scratches or anything on the surface and all knobs, sliders and pads work crisp and as you would expect from a brand new controller with plenty of resistance to them. If you are wondering about the flight case, this was bought to create a workstation (with laptop holder) and to also give more protection when I am moving it around the room to replace my CDJs.
The flight case is a Gorilla flight case in black, and looks very nice with the controller. I purchased this from their website in May last year for 170. Personally I prefer gorilla to swan (or other brands) as I feel they offer more protection especially around the edges for knocks etc, and they are also more of a workstation so come with a laptop holder and you can neatly tuck all the cables away around the back. It also brings the decks up a little higher so your back will not suffer as much as I find most standard desks are too low down for DJing but this solves that issue.
The decksaver is an absolutely vital extra for any controller/cdj. These protect it from absolutely all damage/dust on the surface as you will see from the condition of the controller and just slide on when you are finished with it.
If you have used one of these controllers I do not need to explain and you know exactly why you are buying, and personally this is the best 4 deck controller on the market for the money. I have a nexus 2 setup as well but in many ways this controller is superior and much better to mix on and is very close to CDJs with the full sized jog wheels and tempo sliders, as well as the jog wheel displays which are very useful as many other controllers do not have this feature.
I will definitely be sad to see these go as they are a great bit of kit but unfortunately do not get the use they deserve as all my mixing is done on CDJs now so there is no point me holding onto them anymore. This setup has everything you would need – just find some good speakers to match and it is simply plug and play!
