Yamaha MZ203BEDynamic Cardioid Microphone
In very good working order, In fairly good physical and cosmetic condition. It is missing the foam windshield from inside the grille, but this should be easy enough to replace, or you could use an external windshield. It also comes with it’s original Yamaha plastic case.
Part of the Yamaha MZ line from the mid 80’s to the early 90’s, this is a very rare but highly regarded microphone. I could not find much information about this particular model online, but I have included a couple of pictures from a brochure in the photographs.
It has a triple layered beryllium diaphragm which is meant to be very hard wearing and gives a better frequency response than a mylar diaphragm.
From what I have read, people recommend it for vocals, horns and drums. They also say it is rugged, long lasting and well built.
An MZ203BE microphone was used by the drummer on the Sting album “Ten Summoner’s Tales”
I would certainly encourage you to do a search online and see what others have to say about it.
The postage may seem a little expensive, (I think royal mail have changed their prices recently) but I would not want to send it out untracked and without proof of delivery.
