Technics SH-EX1200 2 Channel Scratch Battle Mixer :-) Classic Analog DJ Mixer.
Here we have a piece of classic DJ history, technics renowned scratch mixer. Comes with power lead and yes it does have the spare cross fader in the little compartment on the bottom :-) dont know if it works though. This item is used, but cosmetically Id describe it as good to very good. The face plate is in very good condition with minimal age related and use related marks and wear. I have shown these in the pics. It hasnt had a lot of hammer as they usually have the paint rubbed off next to the cross fader from use, and paint worn round the eq pots. Its not immaculate but it is good, Id go so far as to say its one of the nicest condition sh-ex1200s on eBay right now. There is a little bit of dust behind the level monitor screen, I have shown in pics, not sure how to clean without stripping it down otherwise it wouldnt be there now!Theres some rack rash on the right hand side of the side casing, I have shown this in the pics. Front, left and rear panels all in good cosmetic condition. There is a little oxidation on the gold rca inputs on the rear panel, yet its very minimal. Cross fader works fine, as does the reverse switch. As with any 20 or 30 year old mixer, theres bound to be some bad bits… Ive had a mix on it this morning and it seems to work fine until you push the channel faders above 8 or 9 then it gets distorted, on both faders. Below this it works fine. I think it could be an earth fault or maybe a corroded pot or fader, or may need some switch cleaner but Im no sparky.. The bass eq pots are a bit crackly when turned. The master volume pot is a bit crackly when turned. The headphone volume pot is a bit crackly when turned. The level monitor leds seem to red line too soon, even with hardly any trim, and no distortion coming out the speakers. This could be a calibration issue, or could be connected to the channel fader issue. All in all, it looks very good and it is useable, but does need someone with the know how to replace the odd pot or fader, to make it into a fully functioning piece of DJ history. PayPal and delivery (well packed) will be 2nd class tracked, or cash on collection, any questions fire away, happy bidding :-)
