As the photos illustrate, the NJD twin record Deck, named the LANCASTER Type 2, is in very good condition. The unit is fitted with NJD turntable decks and an in-built 110 + 110 watt RMS stereo amplifier and also includes turntable slip mats. Each turntable can be selected to play 33 and 45 RPM, has variable speed control and is fitted with pick-up cartridges each with auto-cue facility. The deck unit is fitted with Turntable, Tape and Aux volume controls and input sockets, bass, mid-range and treble controls, cross-fade between turntables, microphone inputs, voice-over compression and slave outputs for additional amplifiers. The NJD unit is enclosed in sturdy purpose built housing with a handle and a removable hinged lid. Also included, is a spare `Sound Lab turntable, which is an exact copy of the NJD VS 5000s, an NJD SA220, 110 + 110 watt RMS stereo slave amplifier, in metal case and an unused microphone. This unit was barely used because it was kept as a back-up unit to the larger NJD BLENHEIM model, sold recently. As illustrated and as can be expected with such heavy portable equipment, areas of wear and the odd knocks caused by transportation exist, particularly to the outer housing, base and lid. There is also a hairline `taped crack to the perspex at the rear of the lower housing. Given the weight, the unit is for collection only. No Reserve. I have tried being as descriptive and accurate as possible. With vinyl making a big come back, these type of sound systems are making a big comeback, especially with Retro Mobile DJ and Reggae or Northern Soul Nights and functions.
