This is an ex mod edak milex flightcase. It has an intended payload of 24kg making it ideal for outboard gear. The payload specification is determined by the rubber shock mounts that the internal mounting substructure is mounted from. A deviation below this payload is not going to cause any issues only the equipment will be less protected against mechanical shock. Going over this weight can lead to the rubber mountings to be overloaded, these can be purchased from edak if you wish to change the payload. The flight case is waterproof and shock proof, I dont think you will find a case that will protect your equipment better than this. I dont have any scales to weigh it on when empty but it not too heavy. The case is a completely aluminium construction with the exterior being made of aircraft grade material and the internal subframe is also aluminium , therefore keeping the added weight to a minimum. The front and read rails contain high quality m6 captive nuts that all work fine, I have included 18 standard mounting bolts and washers with this to get you going. There are also regularly spaced side mounting points on the inside wall of the case , these are on a smaller thread again with captive nuts but not sure what they are as I have never used these .There is a standard 4 gang extension lead tie wrapped to the top of the case that comes with three short iec leads. Each lid is secured with 4 fasteners that are tightened by hand, not the quick release variant.
