ACME MAGIC GOBO DISCO/STAGE LIGHTING EFFECT.
Producing a Moonflower effect of radiating coloured beams which terminate on surfaces with one of up to 15 different GOBOS (shapes). From OPEN to 11- 1 colour GOBOS, 1- 2 colour GOBO , 1- 4 colour GOBO to 1 – white GOBO this unit has great variation.
A stand-alone effect the unit operates in two ways both via a program & timer sequence but also reacting to ambient music or noise picked up with its on – board microphone.
The unit reacts in differing ways , hence it’s ‘MAGIC’ name. Speed of rotation is one area of variation from fast to slow to stationary. The Gobo changer can step from one to the next via a timer but also has the ability to stutter changing GOBOS rapidly for effect.
The light source can also strobe for short spurts as another effect.
I think uniquely on top of all these variants this MAGIC effect, once in a stationary, full light mode, has the ability to shake the image making the GOBOS bounce !
Best shone over a larger distance in low level light this effect works best when raised on a lighting rig or at an angle when floor stood at a large ceiling or wall area.
The unit is fan cooled and the light source is a
12v 100w Halogen lamp.
When needing to be replaced the lamp is easily accessible via a small plate to the front removed , without tools, as it has two nice knobbed screws to take it off.
Can be DMX controlled via a jack input at the rear and a series of dip switches for controlling features. I have never felt the need of this feature as the on- board programme makes these really interesting effects as stand-alone.
These are also linkable so both (or more) units perform the same effects at the same time. This is achieved using male to fall XLR leads, again I’ve always been happy to use these working independently.

Compact and solidly road friendly they are not without the odd mark or scratch but as used Disco effects go in very good condition.
Complete with mains cable & hanging bracket .
