This is an INTER-M REF-2150 REFERENCE AMPLIFIER, surplus to my requirements, and in full working condition as far as I can test.
Dimensions: 484 mm 298 mm (max) 89 mm, approx. 8 kg.
It is rated at 150 watts per channel, using speakers with an impedance of 4 ohms, or 300 watts through a single bridged mono channel, using a speaker with an impedance of 8 ohms.
It is not a hi-fi separates amplifier – I assume it’s designed for a public address system or similar, to be hidden away in a back room where it can be screwed to a larger case, hence the extra screw holes on the front beside the handles. There’s a huge heat sink hanging out the back, though I’ve never used it long enough for it to get hot.
There’s very little to go wrong – a signal goes into each channel via a ” mono jack or XLR plug, it is amplified, it comes out the speakers (which are attached by screw terminals). Volume and balance are both controlled via the only two dials on the front, each channel getting its own volume control that is marked in dB-below-zero. I have tested the jack inputs, but not the XLRs as I have no equipment with XLR plugs – the amplifier works absolutely fine through the jack inputs.
I think the price is more than reasonable given that I’ve found one of these for sale in the US for $160 and one in Canada for Can$200 (both over 100 at the exchange rate via xe.com on 22 August 2020).
