I have a pair of these speakers which have been used intermittently for live Salsa and Salsa discos. They have a special dual push/pull physical drive on the 12inch woofer which is actively coupled directly, so the bass is extended down to 40 Hz and very linear. You do not need a woofer separately because of that.
The frequency response is very flat from 40 Hz to 16 KHz which makes them sound very “clean” and “present” for DJ work, while reducing feedback frequencies by quite a lot in live work.
These are powered and fed by neutrik cables from your desk, so if fed from a laptop a balanced to laptop sound out connector is needed. I use the box Terralec make.
Currently these are being used as then main from speakers in my 5.1 living room system, and they sound great but look over the top!!
The cabinets are wood and steel front meshes, they each wiegh about 26 Kg (a heavy one man lift)
These units are in not perfect used condition but they have been well treated and are excellent speakers. I have retired due to cancer and just don’t need them any more.
I would deliver in Norwich to Diss area if wanted but sale must have been paid for. The two units will stack on a car rear seat with no problem.
