I bought this item new about a month ago and though it’s impressive, it just wasn’t the kind of thing I was after. I did an Amazon return and this company very kindly refunded me and said don’t bother returning the item. I have no use for it and bought a different kind of light to achieve a gently pulsing colour wash instead hence this listing.

I think it works best in a largish room so do check out the Amazon seller’s pix for a better idea of the effect you can create in a larger space.
I’m a little bit wary of lasers so to my mind only responsible adults should use this item and set it up safely.
I haven’t tried the sound activated function.
It makes a low level humming noise in operation and the colours are only red and green, patterns are limited – but if it’s the kind of thing you’re after, it certainly creates a very striking transformation of the room for such an inexpensive unit.
