Omnitronic TRM 202 MK2 Rotary DJ Mixer without power transformer. Condition is “Used”.
I’ve owned this from new, having bought it a few years back, though may struggle to find the original box.
From the outset it was a bit odd with the headphones, but this is part of the weak design of most Omnitronics bits. If I remember rightly, the original was recalled due to being not great, and then outcame the Mark 2 – which I got. It’s done me well, sitting between my 1200’s and letting me play one record, then the next, relatively seamlessly.
The EQ is actually quite good, as is the isolator, though as can be seen, the potentiometer cover has come off, and at the moment I lack an alen key snmall enough to do up the scre embedded in the side to help it grip the potentiometer stem.
This was working well until round about Christmas, when the light blinking, and intermittent nature of the power supply finally gave up the ghost. Until then it was doing some sort of sloth like LFO of power, no power, with one of the problems being that the adapter had to plug into a UK adapter plug, which was past its best. I replaced this and it worked okay for a bit, but ultimately the original adapter has just had enough and when it caught wind of my intention to upgrade, graciously stepped aside for good.
As you can see in the pictures, the three pin, screw to lock plug for power is quite unique and so I’ll include it, but it is non functional and only provided so you can canabalise it for your own power pack modifications.
I’ll write that again:
THE POWER TRANSFORMER DOES NOT WORK AND IS ONLY PROVIDED FOR YOU TO CANABALISE FOR YOUR OWN POWER PACK MODIFICATIONS.
As such I do not expect this bulky item to return to me. It’s not a boomerang and it’s weight actually makes it rather good as a door stop, or a wedge to stop a few grips of records from sliding down and across the floor. A bookend, a record end – you get the picture.
I’ve starteda low price on this as it isn’t perfect but it does work and if you get a bargain all your mates will be impressed.
I’m not shipping it out of the UK as it’s a massive headache; the people who can be convinced by writing on a bus have ruined that for everyone.
