” The Rane SL2 is a 2-channel audio interface designed especially for Digital Vinyl Systems and allows you to hook up turntables running control vinyl to your computer with ease and perfectly replicates the traditional DJ experience giving you the real feel of vinyl with all the benefits of a digital DJ setup. This audio interface is perfect for battle DJs, performance DJs, scratch DJs, and any digital DJ who uses DVS setups.
The SL2 comes with two input channels, both of which make use of an RCA connection, as well as two output channels, which also use an RCA connection alongside a USB output on the front f the device that lets you connect directly to your computer. The interface allows you to connect two standard turntables or two CDJs/media players and acts as a middle man between your players and your DJ mixer.
This audio interface makes use of studio-grade phono preamps with 24-bit/48kHz audio processing sample rates which offers superior quality audio while the advanced low latency USB 2.0 drivers ensure reliability every time you use the SL2. The Core Audio and ASIO drivers allow you to use third-party software applications and are multi-client which means they let multiple applications on your computer share the device all at the same time, the drivers are super-fast and highly reliable so that they can meet the needs of any professional DJ.
Thanks to a switch on the rear of the unit the SL2 accepts turntable outputs or CD line level inputs and offers RIAA phono equalisation which is extremely accurate and gives you the best sound possible for your vinyl. The SL2 accepts 3Vrms from CD decks without any clipping or distortion as well as 3Vrms to the mixer also with no clipping or distortion. Other interfaces simply cannot handle this much signal which makes the SL2 an excellent choice.
The rugged and highly-robust die-cast all-metal design will ensure your device is road-worthy and able to withstand the rigors of everyday on-stage use while a Kensington security lock let you lock down your SL2 with a security cable. Galvanic isolation works to eliminate computer noise from audio and actively isolates the USB connection from power sources eliminating ground loops.
