Included in this listing are: – A pair of four lamp flight cases with a full NEW set of R80 lamps.- A classic Sound Creations AS85-4H four channel light controller (note: the ‘Dim’ switch on this is stuck)- A pair of 1 metre bulgin cables
My hobby is refurbishing these vintage ‘flight case’ style disco light units and selling them as ‘all in one’ portable disco set-ups, complete with cables, and hard-to-find proper bulgin controllers.
And it’s a proper refurbishment. All wiring is inspected and tested. Any broken/faded/cracked lamps are tossed out, and a full set of NEW lamps are supplied. Note: I always add in a couple of lightly-used ‘spares’ too! Hinges/handles/fittings are repaired/replaced as needed. Occasionally I re-vinyl the cases.
I then team the light cases with a suitable light controller box, again fully tested and repaired if necessary. These controllers are becoming harder and harder to source in good condition (Look around eBay at the prices!). Any dry joints (most common issue) are re-soldered to ensure a good few more years of joy!
Finally, I throw in a suitable set of bulgin cables. Again, take a look around eBay at the prices being charged for these!! I generally include relatively short cables to keep my prices as low as possible. If you need longer lengths, take a look at my other listings (or talk to me to see if I can put a more suitable combo together).
I’m happy to courier ALL my disco setups within mainland UK. Everything will be very securely packaged to ensure zero breakage. Five minutes to screw in the bulbs and you’re good to go!If you are local to Southampton, you are welcome to collect and avoid the P&P charge. I’ll also be happy to demo the units to you over a cup of tea too (bring biscuits). Collection will be from SO15 0NL, weekends or evenings.
