Vestax VCM 600 USB MIDI Controller
This Vestax controller is ideal for complex DJ or performance setups. It has the capacity to directly control roughly 160 parameters using the different faders, knobs and buttons.
It has been designed specifically for Ableton but can be used with any software that requires a MIDI controller (I used to control a 4 deck DJ setup in Ableton with tons of effects but I’ve also used it with Traktor).
The unit is in good condition: it comes from a pet and smoke free home, and it has been thoroughly cleaned and tested on the latest version of Ableton. A couple of the knobs are a little stiff but they have always been like that and could be easily lubricated (I didn’t mind them).
I would recommend this to anyone looking for in-depth, hands-on control with Ableton. It can run as a control surface (which means you just plug it in, load, some EQs, filters and effect racks to each track and it’ll instantly work – no need to MIDI map), or you can assign each fader or knob to something unique to your own setup.
It’s difficult to find MIDI controllers that have so many dedicated controls now so it’s definitely still a relevant controller for the right person.
